We used to run TKCC as part of our own website but had to close it due to the disruption that was caused when a group of people were trying to create "The biggest and best guinea pig website in the world"

We had many emails over the next couple of years asking if we would re-open TKCC and we decided that we would but in a different format to what it used to be.

We (and about a dozen or so old members) decided that TKCC should be "Self Funding" and have it's own domain name. On the 1st April 2010 the new TKCC was born.

TKCC is hosted for us by "Host-IT" who have an excellent reputation in website hosting with virtually 100% uptime.

Our Messageboard used to be a "free" one but due to technology changes we purchased one from InstantASP with whom we have an excellent working relationship.

The TKCC members have a "say" what content should be on the site and we do our best to implement this. One of the things asked for was mobile support for the messageboard and this has now been implemented as the messageboard has been upgraded to the 2012 version.

Like most sites of this nature, pictures feature heavily and this uses webspace/database space and bandwidth. Although we have plenty of each we will be upgrading to new servers in April 2012 and will have virtually unlimited quantities of each allowing us to expand further.

Unfortunately this comes at a price and this is why a small fee is charged for membership. Although not quite self funding we are getting there.

TKCC prides itself on the motto "Guinea pigs come first" and aims to give no-nonsense, practical advice for many years to come.
